I’m a neofite regarding recording methods but I had an idea: Editor Review Tones.

The idea is to have an extra editor-only audio track with podcaster generated tones. The podcaster creates a tone while recording a podcast to make a note to the editor to review that section of the recording. It might be “I’ll put that in the show notes” or a bungled conversation needing to be cleaned up in post. This alleviates the stress on the podcaster of having to write anything down in the moment or make a mental note for later.

Possible implementation: another MacBook with a microphone input off to the side that the podcaster can tap while recording.
